day 08 // we're on the road once again. to the city of Nelson; top of south island to spend the night with my sister in law and her hubby. we left Christchurch after lunch and had a few stop over: toilet stop, chuck up on the way, need new nappy, not to forget... photo stop!

such a nice day to spent it with my most absolute favouritest people in the world!

on the 6th day of 2012, hubby and I took a little stroll in the heart of Christchurch. So heart breaking to see all the buildings gone, all closed inside the Red Zone. This is the city where I spent my teenage years... i grew up here... so sad!

BUT! despite all that depressing kinda feeling, Christchurch have built a little oasis feeling kinda nook tucked in ever so neatly inside the heart of the city.

Thought i'd share what we saw that day....

Had so much fun with this family... my beautiful friend Kristina is having her number 3 soon soon soon! For someone who shares the same birthday as me (too cool... too cool), she's just so awesome, fun to hang out with (along with all of our 4 children combined) we shares so much laugh together; BUT she's got the grace and patience like no one i know! i LOVE hanging out with her; hoping those patience and endurance towards our stubborn girls are rubbing off on me. hehe.

For all of you who believes in old wives tales... what do you reckon she'll have?

i have to be a totally biased mom to know that God has blessed me with the happiest son in the world. not to mention, so easy to feed (which is a big deal for me since i have a daughter who takes ages to finish her food), easy to put to sleep (again, we used to deal with a screaming baby when we put tave down for a nap/ sleep), and he is so easy to entertain. thus... the constant smile!

last weekend i had the honor of shooting a beautiful couple's wedding, and much to my surprise... the groom's name is Asa. Some of you know I have an Asa who is in heaven having fun with our Jesus now.

I got to know this Asa and his bride Jenna... the most beautiful couple; inside and out. I fell in love with them; and makes me want to get married again to Jeremy (as usual haha) and i can't wait to share with you their love story in picture form!

So these picture of my beloved son... made me pause and think about how grateful I am what God has blessed me with. an amazing family, amazing career which i love doing, faith filled journey, unbelievable friends and unreal clients who made me fell in love with their story, their personality, their love!

Thank you for those who read my blog too. I'm sending you much love and hope you feel blessed with the pictures i've put here.

hellooooo Sydney! this past weekend hubby + i + Benjamin drove down to Sydney (that's right... drove!)
was so much fun, caught up with friends along the way and visited cute little places around. i love spending quality time with my best friend (aka hubby) for a whole 22 hours (there and back)

grey weather today, we stayed at home. Tavé and I did some paintings in the morning while Benjamin had his morning nap. one of the paintings she did was this swirl of mixed colours (which looks like interesting mushy fungus green) with a splash of pink, brown and purple.

here is one of my mom's dog // Tave's favourite dog while in Indonesia

there's a story behind this dog when we were in Indonesia.

after the wedding finished, we came home around 11.30pm and when mom was about to hop into bed, she realised that nonong was missing (ok.. one dog out of 15 dogs that she had) so here's my dad, Jeremy and the maids went around the neighbourhood around midnight looking for this dog. we expected he went outside the house around mid day (since our house was pretty hectic during this day)

at around 3am, we found out that he was found by a becak man (becak: an indonesian rickshaw) who sold him to a bad animal market for $15! so mom freaked out and talked to him the next morning and asked him to get nonong back! and get this! he asked for $60!!! grrrr... seriously... people could make a living doing this! at this guy had his brother killed because apparently the guy stole so many dogs to be chopped up as dog satay at his streetside restaurant! Oh MY GOSH!

ok. nonong is safe now. hooray!

THE wedding day.

We're HOME!!!! at last! after being 5 weeks away, we are finally home! in our peace and serenity of Australian home. I have to say, although i am so terribly homesick of Indonesia (my family and all the yummy food), i am happy to have my bed back and my little kiddies routine! woooo....

I'm so sorry i haven't had anymore post lately, due to:
1. so jetlagged from a crappy Bali-Darwin-Brisbane jetstar flight (travelling with kids with this flight is really really terrible!!!!)
2. setting on routines back for the kiddies
3. you'd so laugh at this.... i have to adjust back to normal life! no more indo maids, cooks, and free babysitter! hahaha.... it was a blissful holiday i have to say.

So a lot of you have been asking me about this wedding! HOW WAS THE WEDDING? here are some of the pics i managed to take on the day while juggling with BIG dress i had to wear, a big camera and my little boy who couldn't sleep due to a super loud entertainment on the wedding. oh well we all had fun!

look how proud my dad is! it was such a special ceremony. yes yes i did cry....
the reception was so out there! floating giant cake, entertainment across from the pool, 600 guests, and the food was amazing! gotta say... wedding of the century!

i think its gonna be a long time until we do this next time... since my sis is gonna get married, and we all live so far away from each other. i love these dates.

we went out searching for dinner (normal thing to do for indo ppl) at about 8.30pm...
and so here we came to a little local restaurant for some indo fried rice and noodles. yummmm
i even got the shot of the owner sitting by his restaurant waiting for his place to shut at night. we might be his last customer.

here i am. finally at home. to those of you who asked how my trip was... it was unbelieveably easy. I don't know why i was so worried. Both kiddies were awesome and so easy. before i knew it, 10 hours flight came around so quickly. although i wish i finished my movie before Benjamin needed another feed during the flight.

I had the best weekend. Tavé n her daddy successfully executed a super duper plan for my mother's day and even though my little man decided to wake me up for some boobies at 5.30am instead of 7am, i had a knock on the door from Tavé asking what i would like from the breakfast menu this morning.

in the afternoon, we had a cute little picnic at Mt Tamborine with Sommer's family. oh so cute cute day. oh, forgot to mention... before we stuffed ourselves with food, we did some photos. yes... we did.

so yes... at last i've finished my editing, in the midst of all the newborn feeding (losing sleep etc) and a toddler pulling every single bit of toys in the house cos mommy doesn't play with her that much lately... i FINISHED it! hahahaha.

there are things about Melbourne i love. cultures and FOOD! food food food!
i had the privilege of shooting a pre-wedding session of a cousin of mine and her fiance. way cute! i can NOT wait to go through the pics and show you some of the fun things we got up to.

although the rain did ruin our fine Saturday photo shoot, we ended up taking a stroll down Brighton! I've always wanted to go to those hut things! there i was! yay!!!! yes, jumping with a very silly face! my hubby came along as my babysitter. he did amazing!!!! considering every time i went to shoot, Benjamin cried for the whole time i was gone until i came back to the car. bless......
next time i need to hire proper babysitter / assistant he said... any takers?

5 weeks

how fast have time gone? far out. mr B is now 5 weeks and have put on a bit of chub chub (from all the demand feeding i've been giving him) and i have to confess that it is so true.... when the second child arrived, i haven't taken many photos of him like i did with Tave.
From what i can remember, i took about more than 1000 photos in her first 2 weeks alone...

anyway, i'd love to memorate these moments and these little yumminess while i can... it's Saturday... hubby's home and i'm relaxing just a tiny bit. bliss.

She gently rocked him, patting him so softly... far out, honestly, it does take such grace to be a newborn photographer... what happened 2 days after Valentine's day

which was on the 16th February 2011...

I went into Labour! that was the short version.

long version: I went to my antenatal appointment in the morning and was told that my liver level was a tad high than what they want... so with everything and my history etc etc, they decided to induce me that day! yes... i did freak out. i haven't packed my hospital bag, organise anything, my mother in law isn't here yet, i haven't edit a family session i shot last week... and most of all, i don't think i was mentally prepared. laugh laugh laugh.

so went back home, picked tave up from kindy, packed my bag, got a fast couple of pics with tave and the bump before it dissapear, went to Myer to get some maternity bras (lol) then checked in into the hospital at 6pm ish. Admitted to the labour ward at 8, got my water broken at 9, labour started about 9.20pm, and little baby with a little doodle comes out at 11.44pm! fast fast fast... but this silly BIG clock was around my vision and because of it, i thought it was the longest labour ever. haha.

but yes! he is here! this entry is to be continued..... and these are the photos that are managed to be in my camera from the day.

and it's the same day as my FULL TERM day! yay... so technically... baby can pop any day now... and i haven't even packed yet.
Jeremy is going to New Zealand for the weekend for his brother's 21st and won't be back 'til Tuesday. mmmm... baby should just comfortable wait for daddy to come back, right?

so this was what i did today. took a stroll on the beach with my teegsy weegsy aka. Tegan. so she took some pics of the ever growing belly and just to memorate that today is a love love full term day. yeeeeee-ha!

oh, when we were at the beach, someone proposed in the uberly cute manner too! check it out! so Tegan and I were in this mad search for Ben and Kat... we wondered... if it's that couple, or that couple, "no... couldn't be them, they're not happy enough" etc etc. quite a time we had. yes yes. so Congratulations to Kat and Ben... hopefully you did say yes. xo

So much in my thoughts right now. I did consider to do a 365 project of my family. oh dear... then thought of doing a 52 weeks project. that would be lovely wouldn't it? hahaha, i know the hard work that goes behind those projects... if you haven't been, check out Inspiration 365 by my bestie Sommer Dawn. yes... A lot of work. but... so worth it in the end.
Judging from my lack of blog posting, i would so fail within the first month hahaha.

Meet the super cute little miss Isla Rose. She's my cousin's little darling and Tave is so in love with her!! Had some time spent with her during the New Zealand holiday and it so wasn't enough! isn't she sooooo lovely? i could eat her! nom nom nom.

Today. My son would be one if he had a heart beat and breath.
We had a lovely little reflection / happy birthday for him at Burleigh beach where Jeremy and I released his ashes a year ago. Today we released ONE blue balloon and one stem of pink rose (that came from the bunch of flower from nanna and grandad in NZ)

We remember him as one who heals, one who changed our life completely, and one who made us love God in a way we never loved before.

We love him and miss him terribly. Happy first birthday my little man. Have the most amazing party in heaven! xoxo

Pregnancy hormone is the one thing I never get why it goes up and down like a roller coaster. About 4 days ago I was quite cranky not quite sure why... i blame the hot weather. but then the day after that, i was so happy and smiling and even i told Jeremy how happy and blessed I am... to have a great life, husband, and the best family in the WORLD!!! (which is sooo true, right?)
He looked at me first thing with a bit of a confused and disbelief look and said "I'm glad, babe. Next time you're cranky, i have to remind myself of this moment when you said that you're really happy" sigh... i feel so bad...

Anyway, I'm feeling some love today, and what other client photos could be better than these ones to show you how clucky i am of little babies and how i can NOT wait to meet my little prince / princess. 7 weeks to go and counting down the weeks... til then, enjoy the sun.

Went to my doctor's appointment yesterday and didn't even realise that i'm in my "less than 10 weeks to go" stage! oh my goodness!
thought i'd share with you how amazing New Zealand scenery was when Jeremy and I took our friend Jenn for a wonder around the little towns that are surrounding Queenstown. This spot was the highest sealed road in New Zealand... (according to the plate we read on the place... just don't know how old it was)

::thinking about friends in Brisbane, Toowoomba and high Qld areas that got flooded... our thoughts and prayers are with you through this time.

Happy Holiday everyone! We landed in New Zealand at Christmas Eve in Queenstown! ohhhh so so so so soooo beautiful! I've got a new lappy to work on my blog with so bare with me. this is going to take longer than expected. i should've took my other lappy.

It's hot, I'm sweating when I clean my house, my skin feels burning when I stand at the beach for 5 minutes, the air-con at home has been on non stop... it's OFFICIALLY the SUMMER in the Gold Coast!

To those of you beach lovers out there... enjoy!!! i think i wouldn't mind if no one has to drag me out of the ocean where it's nice and cool... Can you believe it's 12 more days until Christmas?! mmmm... makes me wonder when i'm going to start my Christmas shopping! i know i'm shocking! Somebody please help me!

Ballerina party

Tavé's 3rd birthday party... was in the midst of non stop rain week in the Gold Coast... so we cancel the park and had it in a lovely indoor none other than my church... Revolution Church. bless....

Such a fun morning filled with mini ballerinas (well, i did wear my tutus... and it JUST fit me with a few stretch noise here and there when i put it on... yes i had no shame), lots of cupcakes, pretty castle cake, face painting, cool bunting decoration which Pauline and I made at 11.30pm the night before... lots n lots of dancing of course... we had fun!!!!

thought i'd share with you the morning of it... and thank you everyone who contributed to make it such a special morning... and to everyone who came. ohhhh, don't you love the cake made by Elizabeth?! can NOT believe you're only 14! pretty fairies who did face painting plus Brooke, and thank you so much for the ribbon wands, pinwheels and pearls! xo

hehehe... these two had so much fun throwing petals everywhere followed by the night boogie dance while the speeches where on. us parents were hushing and ssshhh-ing them to do their fun thing quietly. too cute...

if you know my Tavé, every time she talks to someone or even someone she just met (and somehow chose to be comfortable around that person)... these past 4 days she's been saying "i'm a big girl. I'm three now." and then sometimes later on during the conversation, she'll add "there's a baby inside my mommy's tummy"
sigh... she's so adorable. I am one super blessed woman.

this was actually taken during a family photoshoot i did today. she asked if she could go into the tent before we totally pulled it down, along with her Asa bear (a bear that was given to us during Asa's dedication so she called it Asa bear). so so cute. she was such a good assistant! and yes, i did pay her $1 tonight when she got home for her good work. she was thrilled and surprised that i paid her! awwwwww... little darling!

I get the giddy feeling when I was editing this session. I love love love sisterly love, cuddles and kisses!
Since we have no idea what we're having and miss Tavé is so sold that she is having a little sister (as she ALWAYS reminds me that she loves her little sister inside mommy's tummy whenever she cuddles me)

Jeremy and I honestly wouldn't mind having 2 girls... awwww... imagine the pretend play they will have together, not to mention... endless tea party. Jeremy just wanted a boy who he can teach rugby or cricket i think... and be rough with... yeah...

love love! sisterly love indeed. I might have another competition on guessing what the sex of the baby is AND need help with names! aaargghhh... it would be the hardest task in the world i think.... choosing the perfect name for your baby/ies!
